Question #8:

What's the difference between Giorgio Armani Perfume (Diamonds) with black lid and silver lid?

My mother had this once and it smelt soo nice. However she lost it somewhere and I am looking online for it. One thing that has baffled me is that there are two varieties, with exactly the same name and target purchaser. (I.e. both giorgio armani for women)

One has a black lid with with either yellowish glass or yellowish perfume. The other has a silver lid with clear perfume. I remember my mum's one (which is probably authentic) is the real one.

So, is the one with the black lid just a didgy knock-off or is it another version or something? It's definitely stated to be for women, not men.

Thanks in advance :)

Question #9:

If you could choose any one of these perfumes for free?

which one would you take;

Chanel Egoiste Platinum 100ml Eau De Parfum
Dior Fahrenheit Eau De Toilette 200ml
Paco Rabanne 1 Million Eau De Parfum 100ml

And the reasons why please
Thanks as they are all free price is not a problem.
And the fact that it is cheap is not a selling point, i want to go for one that i couldn't normally afford.

Dior is 200ml yes, but it is Eau De Toilette, which everyone knows is not as good as eau de parfum.

Ive heard good and bad things about 1 million, but only good about Egoiste and Chanel.

So i think i have chosen.

Thanks,

Question #15:

What's the difference between spray and perfume?

I want to buy Burberry Brit perfume, but it there is both spray and perfume. The Eau De Toilette Spray or Eau De Parfum Perfume Spray. What's the difference?

Question #16:

Should I buy this perfume Surreal by AVON?

I always ask AVON reps for Surreal perfume samples, but they always say they don't have none.I'm really interested in this perfume because its bottle is similar to another perfume I really love, but unfortunately,I can't buy again because it's expensive.Does somebody know if Surreal smells like my old one called called Belara eau de parfum?

Question #17:

On an ingredients list, what is the difference between perfume/parfum/fragrance?

i notice that on cosmetic and body products, it often varies. is there a difference between the three?

Question #18:

Why are all men's fragrances Eau de Toilette (1-6% concentrat) and not eau de parfum (7-15% concentrate)?

Perfume, also called extract or extrait perfume, can include 15-40% perfume concentrates. This is the purest form of scented product and is the most expensive as a result.

Eau de parfum contains about 7-15% perfume concentrates. This is the most popular and common form of perfume. It provides a long-lasting fragrance and generally doesn't cost as much as extract perfume.

Eau de toilette has around 1-6% perfume concentrates. This makes for a light scent that doesn't linger as long as the more intense versions. It was originally intended to be a refreshing body splash to help people wake up in the morning.

Eau de cologne is sometimes used interchangeably with the term eau de toilette. However, the concoction began as the name of a light, fresh fragrance mixed with citrus oils and was made popular by Napoleon. Some perfumers today have a version of this called eau fraiche.

Why can't I find a stronger concentration of men's fragrance, and why is it always watered down and weak smelling?

Question #19:

In my case, do you think $100 for a bottle of perfume is too much?

I'm 17 years old and I have over $7000 in my bank account. The reason for that is because I've worked very hard to earn money, from babysitting and a part-time job I had for about a year and a half before quitting in January this year (my parents forced me to get a job). I kept myself to a budget of no more than $100 a month on food and luxury items - with the exception of perfume. Since August of last year, I've been using a fragrance called "Guerlain L’Heure Bleue" - read up about it here:

I love it, it's perfect for me. It costs around $100 dollars - to me, it sounds kind of expensive, but I figure I've saved up enough money so I don't think I have to worry about it so much. I just make sure it lasts and I try to find the best deal. What do you think?

Question #20:

What are the different ranks of perfumes?

I've seen Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, and Parfum.
Is that the quality order?
Details appreciated!
