Question: What are the most classic time honored mens colognes?
( Back )
Answer #1:
Old Spice and Grey Flannel.Answer #2:
Old SpiceAnswer #3:
My hands down favourite is Eau d'Orange Verte by Hermes. It is crisp and fresh without being 'perfumy' at all. I like fragrances that work for men and women, and this one does. Eau de Guerlain and Vetivert, also by Guerlain are two more classics.Answer #4:
While it might not be an expensive cologne, I think Stetson (by Coty) is the sexiest scent a man can wear.Answer #5:
Drakkar Noir :)Answer #6:
Old SpiceBrut
Polo?
Answer #7:
Polo by Ralph Lauren, Gendarme, Grey Flannel, Vetiver by Creed, Givenchy Gentleman, Canoe by Dana are the ones that most come to mind for me when I think of classic men's colognes that have stood the test of time. Vetiver has been around since the late nineteenth century, Canoe has been around since the 1930's, Polo has been around since the early 80's, Givenchy Gentleman has been around since the 60's as has Grey Flannel, and Gendarme has been around since the late 80's early 90's. Polo is the strongest scent and Gendarme is the lightest and cleanest. All the rest fall somewhere in between.Answer #8:
Easy, Old Spice, Stetson, English Leather, and Brut. All tried and true, all still going strong.
My eighteen year old son loves Old Spice Original, just as my father does. Just as I do.
Answer #9:
5711Habit Rouge, by Guerlain
And I just went back to Old Spice in my old age.
Answer #10:
Don't you remember Aqua Velva?Answer #11:
Don't know how old school we're talking about but:Christian Dior
Halston
Old Spice
English Leather (horrible stuff by the way)
Brut
Stetson
Aqua Velva
Answer #12:
A bit odd to include fragrances from the 1980's as "time honored classics", but ok. But Stetson? Seriously?Habit Rouge
Eau Sauvage
Hammam Bouquet (altho you have to be very secure in your masculinity to wear it haha)
Eau D'Hermes
Caron (Par Un Homme)
Aramis (altho i'd rather smell ass than aramis)
Cuir de Russie
(My Sin and White Shoulders surely should have been on your women's list, too)
Although I never wear fragrance myself (just a bit too nelly, IMO), my favorites are Santos de Cartier (1981) for men and the champion of love-it-or-hate-it, Aromatics Elixir (1971) for women - but only after it has been worn for 2 hours (it is quite revolting if overused or freshly-applied).
Answer #13:
I used to wear Aztec. The girls loved it. Now I wear Nautica and Cool Water. The girls love it.** Powered by Yahoo Answers
